Henderson got his paws on internal documents and found out that the remake was originally scheduled for release in November 2025, which would have been just over a year away!<\/p>\n<p>That would make two ACs in one year, with Assassin&#8217;s Creed Shadows arriving in February after being delayed from November. However, Ubisoft doesn&#8217;t seem to want that, as an internal email has come into Henderson&#8217;s possession, and so there&#8217;s a chance of a delay until 2026. By then, most of the content for Assassin&#8217;s Creed Shadows could be released. The first time we heard about the remake was in June 2023, when it was reported by Kotaku. Then we heard that Ubisoft Singapore (the developers of Skull &amp; Bones) were also heavily involved in the Black Flag remake. Since the ship battles in Skull &amp; Bones are based on what we saw in the fourth main episode of Assassin&#8217;s Creed, it would make sense for the studio to be involved with the project, as they&#8217;ve essentially done their homework.<\/p>\n<p>Assassin&#8217;s Creed IV: Black Flag was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii U and featured the Welsh pirate Edward Kenway. The historically famous pirate was the grandfather of Connor, the protagonist of Assassin&#8217;s Creed III. We explored the Caribbean, fought in sea battles and visited Havana, Nassau and Kingston.<\/p>\n<p>Rumors of a remake are not official yet.
