Only they needed crowdfunding, but it looks like the Kickstarter didn&#8217;t work out for them. They&#8217;ve announced that they&#8217;re suspending work on the game and pulling the Kickstarter, so all backers will get their money back. Fntastic didn&#8217;t raise any money either, so there should be no obstacle to a refund.<\/p>\n<p>Their return was not well received by the public, but they have announced a new game that will be an action horror prop hunt similar to Propnight. It was one of their most successful games, but they lost the rights, so they&#8217;re essentially remaking it, only now the project is called Items. According to Fntastic, the public has been asking for something like this, but since Escape Factory required a Kickstarter, the team will probably resort to that as well, since they say they&#8217;ll need &#8220;significant resources&#8221; to develop it. For this reason, they have also decided to create mobile projects in the meantime to support the Items budget.<\/p>\n<p>In their Twitter announcement, Fntastic also says that they may launch a new Kickstarter or consider other options to release the Itemset. This sounds very optimistic from them, but it doesn&#8217;t automatically mean that the public will be receptive to their game. After all, Fntastic has to rebuild trust after the events of The Day Before. But here&#8217;s the truth: community trust can be gained over time, but it can be lost in a matter of moments. And regaining it will be much harder for them.<\/p>\n<p>And because of that, who knows what the chances are of the items being released.
