The world of simulation and management video games has generated quite a lot of interest in recent years. After all, we are talking about creations that are more than capable of capturing the essence of the sport from a strategic and tactical point of view. One of these sports is F1, including the F1 Manager franchise, which has emerged as an exciting alternative for those who want to manage their own team. However, according to several reports, F1 Manager 2025, planned for next year, will no longer be released.<\/p>\n

According to the British studio’s latest financial report, Frontier Developments, which is responsible for the series, has reportedly decided to stop developing future F1 Manager games because sales of the last few games fell short of expectations. According to trade media such as RacingGames, F1 Manager failed to meet sales targets. It appears that the company has decided to cancel plans for F1 Manager 2025.<\/p>\n

Although we do not have official confirmation yet, the report states: “The Group recognized total impairment losses of \u00a318.1 million during FY23. \u00a315.0 million related to the F1 Manager Franchise due to the financial performance of F1 Manager 2022 (released in August 2022) and F1 Manager 2023 (released in July 2023),” – reads the report. This sales failure seems to have affected F1 Manager 2024 as well.<\/a> According to the news, it did not live up to expectations, even though it was released at a lower-than-usual price (35 euros, compared to 55 euros for previous editions).<\/p>\n

“Business discussions with an intellectual property rights partner led to the voluntary termination of a contract for a future game before full development began,” the document, which is believed to refer to F1, reads. Because they want to terminate the license agreement prematurely, as they have contracted to create four titles. Three have already been released, but it looks like the fourth will never come.<\/p>\n

The financial services group Zeus Capital emphasizes: “The company has confirmed [this] relates to F1 Manager 2025 that would have been released in FY26. As a result, our forecasts no longer include this title, leaving the company more reliant on the success of Jurassic World Evolution 3, due to be released that year,” they explain (via Traxion).<\/p>\n
