There’s already been talk about what abilities Ciri will have, the return of Gwent, and now, on Skill Up’s YouTube channel, The Witcher 4 director Sebastian Kalemba has revealed that the game will be roughly the same size as its predecessor, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and for good reason…

“Let me tell you an anecdote before I answer the question. I remember when we were thinking about how many hours it would take to finish, let’s say, The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone and The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. First and foremost, we want to deliver a super compelling experience. So again, quality over quantity. But definitely what we can promise is that, yeah, this game is going to be pretty big. It’s going to be comparable to everything we’ve done before, but I can’t tell you if it’s going to be 90%, 85% or whatever,” Kalemba said.

The Witcher 3 required about 50 hours of gameplay by default, but the side missions can double that. These interviews are not yet the start of the marketing campaign for The Witcher 4, so they may not even know when it will be released…
