Cross-play will be included, so Capcom’s game will be available to play together on console and PC before its upcoming release.

Capcom has announced that the second open beta will take place over two periods. The first will run from February 6 at 7:00 p.m. PT / 10:00 p.m. ET to February 9 at 6:59 p.m. PT / 9:59 p.m. ET, and from February 13 at 7:00 p.m. PT / 10:00 p.m. ET to February 16 at 6:59 p.m. PT / 9:59 p.m. ET. All of the content seen in the first open beta will be available, but there will also be a new monster to hunt in the form of Grypceros. You will be able to carry over your character data from the first Open Beta into the second. Those who participate in this trial will also receive rewards in the full game (if they purchase it), as we will also receive a decorative charm for our weapon or Seikret, in addition to an item pack.

Doshaguma will also be huntable this time around, and yes, if you purchase Monster Hunter Wilds, you will be able to transfer your beta character, but not your in-game achievements! Ryozo Tsujimoto, the producer of Monster Hunter Wilds, also touched on other things in the video embedded below. Capcom is working to incorporate the feedback received during the first open beta, but these tweaks and improvements will not yet be visible in the second open beta.

Monster Hunter World, the last major installment in the franchise, became a bestseller for Capcom, selling 21 million copies of the base game and another 6 million copies of the Iceborne expansion. It’s no wonder then that there’s a lot of interest in Monster Hunter Wilds, which will use the RE engine, much like the Japanese studio’s other major titles (but which has also worked for Devil May Cry 5 and the Resident Evil sequels and remakes of the last eight years).

Monster Hunter Wilds is also part of the February cavalcade, as it will be released on February 28th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
