HANDHELD NEWS – Firaxis’ game can now be played on Valve’s handheld PC and even on the Lenovo Legion Go running SteamOS.<\/h4>\n

Game developer Firaxis has announced on Steam that Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will be supported on Steam Deck, thanks in large part to Take-Two’s decision to drop 2K Launcher last year (as we reported at the time), which will greatly enhance gameplay on Gabe Newell’s device. The two previous Civilization games can also be played on the machine, but the situation there is not so bright.<\/p>\n

The main problem with Civilization V and VI is the legibility of the text on the Steam Deck. The other problem is that you have to use the Steam Deck keyboard manually to use certain functions. Since the franchise is quite text heavy, this can be a real strain on your eyes, which can give you a headache. So it’s not that the performance is below average, and this doesn’t affect Civilization VII either, because if you look at the system requirements of the game, you’re not going to throw away your mobile\/keyboard…<\/p>\n
