Tomaszkiewicz founded the new Polish studio three years ago after leaving CD Projekt RED. After receiving funding from China’s NetEase, he signed a publishing deal with Bandai Namco. Now the game has been revealed, and it’s safe to say that Tomaszkiewicz’s previous game was a big inspiration for the Rebel Wolves team, as the finale of Geralt’s story is still very much in evidence in the video below!

The Blood of Dawnwalker is the first chapter in Rebel Wolves’ brand new role-playing saga – a single-player, open-world, dark fantasy action RPG with a strong focus on story and narrative. 14th century Europe. Bloody conflicts ravage the land, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. In the aftermath of the plague, the decimated human population struggles to survive. It’s a moment of weakness. In Vale Sangora, somewhere in a forgotten corner of the Carpathian Mountains, vampires seize their chance to step out of the shadows, overthrow the feudal lords, and claim what they’ve been denied for centuries: freedom and the ultimate power that comes with it. Legends become reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.

You play as Coen, a young man who has become a Dawnwalker, forever straddling the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Part human, part vampire, you have 30 days and nights to save your family or seek revenge on your sire and destroy all who stand in your way. The freedom of the game is reflected in Coen’s nature as a Dawnwalker. Depending on the time of day, players will have different skills, abilities, and story outcomes. Players must choose: will they fight for humanity or embrace the cursed powers?

“Inspired by classic role-playing games, we want players to feel the sense of urgency in an open-world game. There are multiple approaches to saving Coen’s family, with no clear division between main and side quests, you decide how you spend your time. Time is a resource, and as each quest progresses, it is impossible to complete all the stories and arcs before the dreaded deadline, making each playthrough unique. We call it a narrative sandbox,” Tomaszkiewicz wrote in a press release.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, The Blood of Dawnwalker is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
