DOOM is slowly getting closer to the release day, but until then, Bethesda and id Software will keep showing us that their game isn’t one of those run-of-the-mill modern shooters. We say this because the latest trailer, which shows off the multiplayer, also follows this notion.

Previously, we already mentioned that DOOM feels like Quake in several ways and the trailer below just underlined this thought even more. No health regeneration, no jumping from wall to wall! Instead, make good use of your weapons, your aim and maybe the demonic powerups on the maps in the latest id Software game. Almost the same deal as Quake III Arena had to offer.

We also mentioned that there’s a vote going on to pick a reverse cover for DOOM. The voting, which has two options for the fans, is already over. As a reminder, we’re putting that artwork below the trailer. To be honest, most of our editors chose this B option as well, because it’s a true homage to the classic art of the nineties.

The closed beta will run from March 31 to April 3 with four-player deathmatch, domination, freeze tag, and clan arena – this beta is for those who pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order.
