MOVIE NEWS – Indiana Jones<\/strong><\/em> will be back to the movies on July 19, 2019, for a fifth time in the blockbuster series. Steven Spielberg, who directed all four previous films, will helm Indiana Jones<\/strong><\/em> 5 with 73 years old star Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role. The franchise veterans: Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will produce the movie.<\/p>\n \u201cIndiana Jones<\/strong><\/em> is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can\u2019t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,\u201d explained Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. \u201cIt\u2019s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn\u2019t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n The famous archaeologist, explorer and adventurer, Indiana Jones<\/strong><\/em> was introduced in 1981\u2019s Raiders of the Lost Ark<\/strong><\/em>, which is actually one of AFI\u2019s 100 Greatest American Films of All Time and later thrilled audiences in 1984\u2019s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, 1989\u2019s Indiana Jones<\/strong> and the Last Crusade<\/strong><\/em>, and 2008\u2019s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull<\/strong><\/em>. The four films have brought in nearly $2 billion at the global box office.<\/p>\n The July 19 release date puts the film in the wake of Marvel\u2019s Inhumans, which is scheduled for a July 12 release, although that may change since Walt Disney Pictures is distributing both films.
