Shadow of the Beast is a kind of the game that seems to have taken the delays to receive a significant improvement in gameplay, challenge, and stability. The latest video introduces multiple of the game mechanics for us.

While the task might seem easy – defeat all enemies coming from both the left and the right side -, Heavy Spectrum, the developers, tried to make it deeper than that, so not only beginners but also experienced players would have fun. Beginners can also enjoy Shadow of the Beast with a beginner mode – those DualShock 4s will not end up in the wall. Enemies will react differently to our attacks, so we must find the perfect balance between defending and finding their weak points to avoid getting game overs. Then, it’s time to pull off some combos – speaking of which, score hunters will find their pleasure with this game.

Despite its announcement almost three years ago, the game will finally be out on May 17, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
