The witch did indeed receive a PC version!

SEGA wasn’t joking with the teasing in 8-Bit Bayonetta: the first Bayonetta game showed up on Steam yesterday (), and it costs only twenty dollars/euros – in return, you get 60 frames per second, and 4K resolution support as well. Bayonetta was developed by PlatinumGames, and its director was Hideki Kamiya (Resident Evil 2, Viewtiful Joe, Okami, The Wonderful 101).

If you buy the game before April 25, you’ll get the Digital Deluxe version at no additional cost: you’ll get five songs of the soundtrack, a few avatars, wallpapers, as well as a digital art book, originally seen physically in Climax Edition.

When will Nintendo let go of Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U? If that game received a PC port, we’d probably look for our jaw on the floor. (That game wasn’t that bad, either.)

Oh, and guess what? Even DigitalFoundry believes that the port is great!
