Devolver Digital strikes again.

STRAFE is not an easy game – we previously reviewed it, in case you missed it -, while mostly (but not entirely!) bringing back the style of 1996. The game got a small live action movie as well, although it’s a little later than we predicted it to arrive, though. You can see it on YouTube, or here, on our site.

However, don’t forget something: you cannot take Devolver seriously. Their E3 presentation was… absurd (all we say is early early access!), and that style is seen in this STRAFE movie as well. Do not say that we didn’t warn you!

We’d say one more thing here, in the final paragraph: even the visuals feel retro. Watching it felt like we’re seeing a VHS tape. Back before DVDs and Blu-rays existed… although that’s not an issue here.
