Ubisoft<\/strong><\/em> might take the \u201eit’s not the best idea to have a franchise get a new game each year\u201d thought seriously. Instead, they might expand Origins!<\/p>\n

Ubisoft<\/strong><\/em>‘s CEO, Yves Guillemot said in the company’s latest financial earnings call (after we discussed the publisher’s latest financial report in detail yesterday) the following: \u201eWe are concentrating on [sic!] the moment on AC: Origins, for which we are going to launch a few other DLCs. You will be amazed by what will come on ACO, so that’s the only thing we can say now.\u201d The question was, will Assassin’s Creed<\/strong><\/em> become an annual franchise once again?<\/p>\n

We already know about one thing that will expand Assassin’s Creed: Origins<\/strong><\/em>. Ubisoft<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em> revealed a few new details about its story- and combat free Discovery Tour<\/strong> mode<\/strong><\/em>: \u201eThis new educational mode of the game lets everyone, from players to history-enthusiasts and non-gamers, choose between free roaming the beautiful world of Ancient Egypt to learn more about its history and daily life, or embarking on guided tours curated by historians and Egyptologists. People can discover and explore a world free of conflict, time pressure or gameplay constraints, where storyline and quests are not active, and the world of Ancient Egypt evolves into a combat-free living museum.\u201d<\/p>\n
