Telltale is preparing for the fourth, final „lap” with The Walking Dead, where Clementine reprises her protagonist role.

Clem has grown up over the course of the four seasons, but the game’s quality wasn’t capable of following her: the first season was the best, and Telltale couldn’t keep up with that even with a console generation change in the process. Perhaps this is the reason why the team is utilising a new engine, which is somewhat necessary: other competitors are having the better of them (The Council from Big Bad Wolf/Focus Home or Dontnod/Square Enix’ Life is Strange 2, which is also close to starting).

The Walking Dead‘s fourth season will begin on August 14 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (no iOS and Android?), followed by a Nintendo Switch port later the year. Until then, have a look at a few images and a teaser from San Diego Comic-Con.
