MOVIE NEWS – Adi Shankar, the executive producer of the Castlevania animated series on Netflix, promised an announcement for November 16. He kept his word!

Shankar confirmed to IGN that he is working on an animated series for Capcom‘s Devil May Cry, and it’s also going to be set in the same universe as Castlevania’s. Shankar calls it a „bootleg multiverse:” „Let the speculation begin. You can read into that all you want.” It hints at a possible collaboration between the Devil May Cry and the Castlevania characters. Dante as a vampire hunter? That doesn’t sound too bad.

„I acquired these [Devil May Cry] rights myself so the jabronis in Hollywood don’t f_ck this one up, too,” Shankar added, meaning he will have a decent amount of creative freedom. We don’t know further details yet, but seeing how Castlevania was decent under Shankar’s hands, we can trust him to do just as well with Devil May Cry, too.
