He kept his word!<\/p>\n<p>Shankar confirmed to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/2018\/11\/16\/devil-may-cry-series-joins-castlevania-in-new-multiverse-from-adi-shankar\">IGN<\/a><\/span> that he is working on an <em><strong>animated series<\/strong><\/em> for <em><strong>Capcom<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;s <em><strong>Devil May Cry<\/strong><\/em>, and it&#8217;s also going to be set in the same universe as Castlevania&#8217;s. Shankar calls it a \u201ebootleg multiverse:\u201d \u201eLet the speculation begin. You can read into that all you want.\u201d It hints at a possible collaboration between the <em><strong>Devil May Cry<\/strong><\/em> and the Castlevania characters. Dante as a vampire hunter? That doesn&#8217;t sound too bad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eI acquired these [Devil May Cry] rights myself so the jabronis in Hollywood don\u2019t f_ck this one up, too,\u201d Shankar added, meaning he will have a decent amount of creative freedom.
