{"id":39044,"date":"2018-12-06T17:29:35","date_gmt":"2018-12-06T17:29:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ps4pro.eu\/?p=39044"},"modified":"2018-12-07T16:55:46","modified_gmt":"2018-12-07T16:55:46","slug":"former-dragon-age-director-joins-ubisoft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegeek.games\/2018\/12\/06\/former-dragon-age-director-joins-ubisoft\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Dragon Age Director Joins Ubisoft!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Mike Laidlaw<\/strong><\/em>, who was the writer and creative director on <em><strong>Dragon Age<\/strong><\/em> for a long time, has joined <em><strong>Ubisoft<\/strong><\/em> Quebec, the primary developer team of <em><strong>Assassin&#8217;s Creed: Odyssey<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding Laidlaw, a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/quebec.ubisoft.com\/en\/mike-laidlaw-joins-ubisoft-quebec\/\">blog post<\/a><\/span> revealed that the newcomer is now working on an \u201eunannounced, new project.\u201d In the previous nine months, he already had a consultant role, but Laidlaw joined the Canadian Ubisoft team full-time.<\/p>\n<p>Laidlaw previously worked on games such as Mass Effect, Jade Empire, or Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood before spearheading 2014&#8217;s <em><strong>Dragon Age<\/strong><\/em>: Inquisition. He left BioWare in October 2017; then he helped a Kickstarter RPG, Waylanders (but he has handed over his involvement to an ex-Telltale writer, Emily Grace Buck).
