Grand Theft Auto VI? Possibly. Rockstar Games is now in a headhunting mode.

VGC was the first site to report about how Rockstar Games is looking for new employees, and since we are a year away from the launch of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Project Scarlett, it’s no wonder the team is looking to expand for a new project, which, unsurprisingly, will be an open-world title. On their website, we see more than thirty job openings in Rockstar North, which is one of their studios in the United Kingdom. Programmers, animators, and even artists are capable of joining Rockstar now.

Their animation systems programmer job listing specifically requests help „n developing advanced animation systems for large open-world character-based games,” which strongly sounds like Grand Theft Auto to us, and they could be looking for people to work on its sixth number game indeed. Even if they don’t mention Grand Theft Auto whatsoever in the job listings, we have good reasons to think of that game, don’t we?

Grand Theft Auto V has success in all caps: the game has been shipped in over 115 million units already. Sure, the game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, as well as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (the two prev-gen consoles got the game first in September 2013 – over six years ago; how time flies), but we can’t deny its success, even with the fact that you can use real money to spend in one of its casinos (except in a few countries).

If they are working on Grand Theft Auto VI, don’t expect it to show up on the current-gen consoles. Sure, Rockstar tends to be silent about its games, but we have heard a lot of rumours about GTA VI already.
