Square Enix has previously surprised us by saying that in Final Fantasy VII Remake Red XIII will not be a full party member in our team.

The character joins us near the end of the first act in the game, and Final Fantasy VII Remake’s first chapter’s cutoff point is around there. The Japanese team didn’t want the beast to be undeveloped, but Square Enix didn’t leave it at that. The publisher’s website has an interview with Naoki Hamaguchi, the co-director of the game, and he revealed a few interesting things.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be a PlayStation 4-exclusive for a year. It will launch on April 10, and you should look for it on the PlayStation Store, as the retail copies’ distribution might be causing a lack of availability.
