EGX Rezzed<\/strong><\/em> is the first one we’re discussing. Previously, we mentioned that it’d have been held in July after getting delayed<\/a><\/span> from its initial March date. However, the organisers (Gamer Network and Reed Pop) – seeing the coronavirus pandemic – followed suit of many others by giving up on this year’s event and focus on 2021 one instead.<\/p>\n \u201eThe effects, actual and projected, of Coronavirus are becoming evident across all aspects of our lives here in the UK and across the world, with many of our exhibitors and creators facing travel restrictions and quarantine measures. After extensive discussions with all the relevant public health, local and national authorities, and with our Rezzed partners, we have taken the decision not to go ahead with this year’s event. Today we wanted to provide updates on where we’re at with plans in 2020! Physical Events – For the rest of 2020, all Fortnite competitions will be held online. Due to the limitations of cross-region online competition, there will not be a Fortnite World Cup in 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n Epic added that they are not sure when it will be practical to return to in-person events, but they hope Fortnite World Cup 2021 will happen. The Fortnite Champion Series<\/strong><\/em> (FNCS – normally held online), will return for each season in 2020, as well as its official broadcasts, starting today at 1 PM ET on Twitch and YouTube. Cash Cups, which are smaller competitive matches with monetary prizes for top performers, will also return.
