FromSoftware‘s PlayStation 4-exclusive might be seeing a release on two more platforms. One of them could be surprising.

„I now know for a fact that Bloodborne *IS* coming to PC, thanks to a trusted source. […] I’ve had it confirmed by a very trusted source, and I have a lot of faith in the company who’s doing the port, you won’t be disappointed. It genuinely is happening,” CaseyExplosion wrote on Twitter. You read that correctly: a PC port!

And if that isn’t enough, Wario64, who is anything but unreliable, retweeted this and said that we can already play Bloodborne on PC via the PlayStation Now streaming service… or we could wait a bit longer, hinting at a port. Jawmuncher, one of the moderators of ResetEra, also said that Bloodborne’s PC port is not a hoax.

This is just one half of the story. Regarding the other platform, let’s see what CaseyExplosion wrote: „As far as I understand it, it was due to be announced at the now-delayed PlayStation 5 event that was scheduled for today. It’s not just a PC port of Bloodborne, what was supposed to be revealed today was a Bloodborne Remastered/HD edition that was coming for PlayStation 5 and PC. I don’t know of any release date as of yet.” The Future of Gaming was planned to be held on June 4, but – as with all the other E3 replacement events – it got delayed, and its new date is unknown at the moment.

Who’s the developer? „The last detail I’ll share is that FromSoftware themselves are not doing the port, but that the company doing the remaster are one that I have a huge amount of faith in judging by other games they’ve ported. I will not share who that company is, but you sincerely won’t be let down,” CaseyExplosion wrote. That seems to be a hint at Bluepoint Games, but we thought they are working on a Demon’s Souls remake or remaster. (Then again, the PlayStation 3-exclusive title is also by FromSoftware…)

Is this Sony’s plan? Bring PlayStation 4-exclusives to PC a few years later? The video below talks about how Days Gone, God of War, The Last of Us Part II, Spider-Man, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, and Gran Turismo Sport might be getting ported with 4K resolution, 60 (144?) FPS support, ultra widescreen support, and cross-play, but no FOV (field of view) options, all on Steam? It’s possible.

Let’s briefly mention Elden Ring as well. Kinda Funny’s Imran Khan wrote that „FromSoftware fans probably have a lot of reasons to be happy in the next two years. Things that people think are hitting 2020 might not hit 2020 or even be shown in 2020.” That last sentence seems to hint at Elden Ring… which might thus launch in 2021…

We didn’t expect Bloodborne to get a remaster, but it didn’t run that well on the PlayStation 4, so it would make sense.
