The Japanese publisher tries to be tricky, but they failed.

When it comes to Final Fantasy, the question is not if there will be a new episode but when it will arrive. (Even if XV was a difficult process, as it originally was announced in 2006 as Final Fantasy Versus XIII…) And since Final Fantasy XV launched almost five years ago, the fans of the series are justified to hear news about the next chapter (and Final Fantasy VII Remake’s first part isn’t entirely a new game, is it…?) – there are signs of things happening, though.

Twisted Voxel has discovered a Final Fantasy XVI Twitter account with the FF16_JP handle. The account was registered in August, and it has no other details or tweets on it at the moment. However, the email address tied to the account is suspicious: fa*******@s**********.*** – the part after the @ is perfect to fit square-enix.com into it. We can’t recall a fitting email provider that starts with S – SquirrelMail is longer…

Square Enix is probably going to deny everything.
