A successful marketing campaign and the reputation of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thegeek.games\/2015\/12\/31\/the-witcher-3-the-wild-hunt-you-have-never-played-an-rpg-with-more-polish\/\">The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt<\/a><\/span> provided the hype necessary for the CD Projekt Red title to break records despite issues including performance problems on consoles, widespread glitches and the indefinite removal of the game from the PlayStation Store. An extremely high share of digital sales (80%) was on <em><strong>PC<\/strong><\/em>, likely due to the delisting on PlayStation and the overall state of the console versions. *These estimates do include digital copies that have been refunded, but our data shows that refunds did not substantially affect the game&#8217;s aggregate sales.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to SuperData, the digital gaming market had a record month of December with 12 billion dollars in gross revenue, being a 15% growth on a year-over-year. Fortnite had strong earnings (the highest the game had seen since August, thanks to massive events such as the fight against Galactus when 15.3 million concurrent users were online), and Grand Theft Auto Online had its highest digital monthly earnings to date for Rockstar&#8217;s GTA Online thanks to the release of the Cayo Perico Heist, the game&#8217;s biggest update ever released. Among Us fell a bit from its player base, but it still was almost three times as popular as the second most played game (Roblox). SuperData also estimates <em><strong>Nintendo Switch<\/strong><\/em> sales for the game to be 3.2 million.<\/p>\n<p>According to promises, the new, 1.10 update of Cyberpunk 2077 was published. It takes about 5.4 GB on Steam or 1.1 GB on GOG, respectively, According to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyberpunk.net\/en\/news\/37373\/patch-1-1\">CDPR<\/a><\/span>, \u201eIn this update, we focused on various stability improvements, which you can find outlined in the patch notes below. We will continue this work in patch 1.2 and other upcoming updates. At the same time, we will keep fixing the bugs you encounter and listening to your feedback on how to improve the overall game experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/g5bmmx\/people-are-getting-cyberpunk-2077-refunds-and-getting-to-keep-the-game\">VICE<\/a><\/span> added that those who requested a refund from CDPR in December (they could do so until December 21) started to get their money back (mostly via PayPal), and they also got to keep the copy of the game, which is a fair move.
