After the first instalment of this reboot of the saga that was left open for future sequels, many fans assumed that the new instalments would form a trilogy with the event of &#8220;Ragnarok&#8221; as the end.<\/p>\n<p>However, the name of this second instalment told us that the Nordic saga would end here. Cory Barlog, director of the 2018 game and Eric Williams, the current director of God of War Ragnarok, spoke about why ending Norse mythology in this second instalment when most of us assumed that the arc would occupy three games.<\/p>\n<p>Cory Barlog told about the time he dedicated to the 2018 game and all the stories he thought for this story arc, but at the same time, he said that a project like a trilogy means being locked in almost 15 years in the same story while joking that it is someone impatient. He also referred to how the public would consume it. Barlog set the example with The Lord of the Rings and how much he liked getting hold of the extended version trilogy and seeing it at once. Thus he set himself the challenge of concentrating all those stories to give the player a complete tale without stretching so long.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; We wanted it to feel like you open the book right in the middle, from there we start, then we come to an end, and that means closing the book; it&#8217;s a nice feeling when you do it.
