The development of the Prime Video series of Fallout, Bethesda’s long-running action role-playing series set in an apocalyptic world, is slowly moving forward. After announcing a few weeks ago the signing of Walton Goggins (Tomb Raider), it was reported that Ella Purnell would be joining the project in an unknown role.

Purnell is a young British actress who has appeared in several films in recent years, including Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead. However, videogame fans may find her participation in Arcane (League of Legends) more relevant, where she voiced one of its main characters, Jinx, in its original version. Recently we have also seen her in Yellowjackets (Movistar+).

The signing of the young performer has been confirmed exclusively by Deadline, where they speculate that she may play Jean, a young woman with a positive attitude who may be hiding a dangerous secret. Therefore, Purnell would be one of the main characters of the show. The series is expected to begin production this year, according to the website.

Meanwhile, Amazon is still looking for new video games to adapt to compete with Netflix. In recent months, the names of two great sagas have been blaring: Mass Effect and God of War, neither of which has been officially greenlit.

In the absence of new instalments for the series, returning to Fallout, with those in charge focused on Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI, Bethesda has promised to work on multi-year support for Fallout 76, which presented a roadmap a few weeks ago.
