We’re about to test Stray, a game starring a ginger cat, but as foreign PR company Fortyseven was NOT kind enough to send us a test code before the PS Plus Extras launch, we had to wait until 19 July. Animal lovers know that pets appearing on screen can be a risky situation, especially in a thriller like Deadpool. If nothing is sacred for female protagonist Amy, can a scruffy little ginger cat keep her safe from harm? Actually, yes, and for very good reason: Bleecker the cat (aka Cheeto) serves as an interesting barometer of how we should feel about Nick (Ben Affleck) or Amy (Rosamund Pike) in various scenes. It says a lot about each character how they relate – or don’t relate – to the cat. We don’t want to give away any more about Cheeto’s role in the film, only that he witnesses a key moment.
