The Japanese publisher has given an iconic and aching name to the 2023 remake of the 2005-released game.

Capcom has announced a demo for Resident Evil 4 Remake on PlayStation 5, Xbox Serial, PlayStation 4, and Steam, which it calls Chainsaw Demo, so it hints at what to expect in Leon S. Kennedy’s slightly modified European tour. The Japanese publisher has also provided a short description of the demo, which we quote in the following paragraph:

“Survival is just the beginning. Experience a taste of Resident Evil 4, reimagining the original game released in 2005. This demo consists of a specially tuned version of the game’s opening sequence and can be played repeatedly without time restrictions. With modernized gameplay, a reworked story, and vividly detailed graphics, you can relive the nightmare of survival horror,” Capcom said. To reiterate the point: the Japanese publisher has made a demo of the beginning of the game, and it doesn’t have a time limit, so you can try this early portion at a slower pace, turning over every stone.

Capcom has gone all out with the pre-launch marketing, as in addition to the image gallery, they’ve also released four more videos from Resident Evil 4 Remake. The first shows off the demo, while the other three are short trailers for the survival horror title. They’ve also been published in Japanese, but we haven’t embedded them (and don’t be surprised if YouTube goes overboard again and you have to be logged in with an ID to watch any of them because of the age restrictions…).

Resident Evil 4 Remake is approaching; its release is less than two weeks away. It will be released on March 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 (presumably Sony paid Capcom for the previous generation port), and PC on Steam (with Denuvo, but at least they take it out of their games, and Square Enix, SEGA, Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, and many others could learn from that…).
