The Blood of Dawnwalker: We Can Expect Many More Announcements This Year! [VIDEO]

The developers have confirmed that the game will be released in 2026, as previously announced.

Western RPG fans can start the year with a little more hope, as The Blood of Dawnwalker is also set to release in 2026 following the developer’s Launch Year Special video. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, founder of Rebel Wolves and director of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt at CD Projekt RED, joined global community manager Dominika Burza to share the update.

Tomaszkiewicz said the team was honored and deeply moved by the fantastic reactions to their cinematic reveal, gameplay videos, and presentations. Burza added that meeting players in person at events such as Gamescom, PAX East and West, TwitchCon, and Poznań Game Arena was an incredible experience. Tomaszkiewicz thanked the community, emphasizing that player feedback continues to motivate and inspire the team.

According to Burza, the game is being made for the players, which is why the developers want to show its current state throughout the different stages of development, even if that sometimes means presenting content that does not yet fully reflect the final quality. Tomaszkiewicz explained that while not every suggestion can be implemented, all feedback is valued and carefully reviewed. The developers asked for continued trust, as they want the game to be just as great as the community does.

Burza confirmed that The Blood of Dawnwalker will be released later this year. While the exact release date remains unknown, more information is expected soon. Tomaszkiewicz noted that there is still a lot to show, including gameplay, locations, and characters. Burza also mentioned that the full cast of main characters is still unknown, not to mention the creatures and music, which is why the main musical theme has already been revealed.

At Gamescom, Tomaszkiewicz told WCCFTech that directed combat will remain part of the game. However, due to concerns raised by some players, the developers have added an option to play the game more like a traditional action RPG. Other community-driven changes include smoother integration of active abilities, a circular menu that slows time instead of stopping it, and separate camera distance settings for combat and exploration.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, The Blood of Dawnwalker will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
