The director of The Witcher 3 has once again made it clear that the upcoming vampire RPG is set for 2026, this time accompanied by a new trailer and a retrospective look at the past year.

Among the most anticipated games of 2026, The Blood of Dawnwalker occupies a prominent spot, earning a place on 3DJuegos’ list of the 25 most anticipated titles alongside names like GTA 6 and Resident Evil Requiem. Developed by Rebel Wolves and led by veterans of The Witcher 3, including director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the project still lacks a specific release date. Nevertheless, the Polish studio has released a new trailer that highlights the game’s strong narrative ambitions.

In a recap covering the last twelve months, Tomaszkiewicz and community manager Karolina Burza revisited the most important milestones of The Blood of Dawnwalker, from its official announcement to its appearance at the Xbox Games Showcase and the playable demos shown at Gamescom. They noted that it has been a full year since the game was revealed and expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from players.

While the team is not yet ready to announce an exact launch date, they emphasized how closely they follow community feedback. Even if not every suggestion can be implemented, player comments are carefully considered. This approach was reflected in the positive reception of the latest gameplay footage released toward the end of 2025, following the first hands-on previews.

Tomaszkiewicz stated that much more content is still to come, including new gameplay mechanics, locations, and characters. Burza added that many of the game’s characters have barely appeared in previous materials. Along these lines, the studio released a new trailer featuring a female vampire companion, as well as glimpses of several major antagonists.

Although many fans were hoping this update would finally include a release date, it instead brought another firm confirmation: The Blood of Dawnwalker is coming in 2026. The exact timing, however, remains a mystery for now.
