Squanch Games is targeting yet another platform, and we now know exactly when the boxed version hits shelves. There is a catch for Switch 2 collectors though: it’s a game-key card release, so the download is still mandatory.
You’ve done it! You’ve taken down an intergalactic cartel, saved humanity from extinction, and hunted dangerous bounties to the far corners of the galaxy. Bounty hunting has brought you fortune, fame, and love. But when a mysterious figure from your past reappears and puts a price on your sister’s head, your cushy life is thrown into chaos. Do you have what it takes to risk it all and take down an intergalactic conspiracy that threatens humanity once again? In High on Life, you and your rag-tag team of alien misfits will shoot, stab, and skate your way through gorgeous and dangerous worlds across the galaxy to destroy the evil pharmaceutical conglomerate that wants to put a price on human life!
Blast your way through enemies with an arsenal of charismatic alien firepower in high-octane, hyperactive combat. Kickflip alien cops in the face, and grind your way to freedom on your brand-new skateboard. Get up close and personal with an eccentric cast of bizarre and subversive life forms voiced by a star-studded comedy cast. Wreak havoc at the galaxy’s biggest convention – an alien zoo for humans – and on a luxury, futuristic cruise liner on your cosmic quest to take down big pharma.
As previously announced, High On Life 2 will be available on February 13 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. It will also be added to the Xbox Game Pass lineup. This has not changed. However, a new addition has been announced: a Nintendo Switch 2 port will be released on April 20. Physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 are also expected on April 20.
The only issue is that the Switch 2 version will be a game-key card, meaning the game will still need to be downloaded, rendering the physical version somewhat irrelevant.
