Grand Theft Auto VI: Marketing Campaign to Launch This Summer!

With this announcement, Take-Two has essentially confirmed that the game’s release date will not be delayed any further.

Take-Two Interactive‘s third-quarter financial results have been released, providing a wealth of information about the company behind 2K and Rockstar‘s latest figures. However, everyone is eager to learn more about Grand Theft Auto VI, perhaps the most highly anticipated game ever. Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto V has reached another astronomical sales milestone. Although Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick didn’t reveal much about Grand Theft Auto VI, he confirmed in an interview with The Game Business and during a conference call with investors that more marketing news about the game will be announced in the summer. He also confirmed the game’s release date remains November 19.

Last month, we learned that the November date was a more realistic release date than the previous date of 2025. Prior to that, Zelnick said he was very confident that the game would not be delayed. All of Take-Two‘s forecasts support the idea that the game will be released in November. Hopefully, this will continue to be the case as we get closer to November, although a lot can change in the coming months.

Regarding Grand Theft Auto V‘s new sales milestone, Take-Two announced that the game has sold an astonishing 225 million copies in the last ten years. The company added that the Grand Theft Auto franchise has sold a total of 465 million copies during its lifetime, meaning Grand Theft Auto V alone accounts for nearly half of all Grand Theft Auto games sold since the series launched in 1997.

Overall, Take-Two reported net revenue of $1.76 billion for the third quarter, well above the forecasted $1.6 billion, with Grand Theft Auto contributing significantly to the growth. Grand Theft Auto Online revenue grew by 27%.
