Konami has officially localized two games with this collection, as both titles were previously only available in Japan.

The party battle game Super Bomberman is now available as a collection featuring seven titles and 12 versions across Japan, Europe, and the United States, including the long-awaited localized versions of the previously unreleased Super Bomberman 4 and Super Bomberman 5. The collection also includes a Boss Rush mode that lets you fight all bosses from each title in a time attack, alongside various support features, libraries, and more.

Boss Rush is a challenge mode where you battle each game’s bosses consecutively in a time attack. You can save or load your game at any point during gameplay. The Rewind feature lets you rewind and retry whenever you want. You can adjust the resolution or apply screen filters to play with your preferred visual settings. In Bomb Radio, you can listen to each title’s original soundtrack, and you can even create your own playlists. The gallery lets you browse a collection of more than 200 pieces of artwork and development materials.

The original Super Bomberman released in all three regions (Japan, North America, and Europe), and Super Bomberman 2 was similarly available everywhere. Super Bomberman 3 changed that, as only Europe received the game outside Japan (perhaps audiences were getting tired of Hudson’s character?). Super Bomberman 4 and Super Bomberman 5 were only available in Japan, and the collection includes English localizations alongside the Japanese versions. Along with the five SNES (SFC) games, the original Bomberman (with 50 levels of destruction) and Bomberman II (which expanded the multiplayer component) are also included. Both are Japanese versions, meaning we get the Famicom releases.

Super Bomberman Collection is now available digitally for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It costs $20. A physical release is also planned for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch, but you’ll have to wait until August 25.
