Kojima Productions took handheld PCs into account when developing the game, so we can expect a fair PC port.
Nixxes Software recently published the full PC system requirements for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Similar to its predecessor and the Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West duo, the system requirements for the Decima Engine game seem reasonable. Nixxes has also planned a Portable preset tailored for handheld PCs, such as the Steam Deck and the Asus ROG Ally. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will include all major PC upscaling and frame generation options, such as Nvidia DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XeSS 2. However, it is unclear if the Nvidia DLSS 4 implementation will include the Multi Frame Generation feature or support the new DLSS 4.5 second-generation Transformer model via the Nvidia app.
While there won’t be any spectacular new additions, such as ray tracing, ultrawide displays will receive native support, and all scenes have been designed with a 21:9 aspect ratio. An even wider 32:9 aspect ratio is supported during gameplay. Players with 16:9 high-resolution displays can enable the wide aspect ratio in their display settings to enjoy a wider field of view, eliminating the need for an ultrawide monitor. Players will also be able to play Death Stranding 2 in a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio on PC and on PlayStation 5 via an update. Now, let’s take a look at the system requirements:
