MOVIE NEWS – As fans await an official release date for Silo Season 3, star Rebecca Ferguson just gave a positive update that solidifies Apple TV+ as the definitive destination for science fiction followers. Although the dystopian series about Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) and her fellow humans surviving in a deep subterranean silo has been on hold since January 2025, Ferguson hinted at an impending release window, adding to Apple’s blistering sci-fi streak that shows no end in sight. Even more encouraging, Silo Season 4 has already wrapped filming, which prevents viewers from suffering a near two-year lag that many big-budget shows experience nowadays.
Although Apple TV+‘s hit dystopian science-fiction show Silo last came out in January 2025, star Rebecca Ferguson recently gave fans an encouraging update. During an appearance on TODAY, Ferguson all but confirmed that Silo Season 3 will premiere sometime in the summer of 2026, which means that an official release date will surely be announced shortly. Ferguson said: “I can’t give you a date… I don’t know. But it’s in the summer, it’s coming out.”
Those who feel deflated about the lack of a specific date should feel better knowing that Season 4 has already completed filming. This will almost certainly ensure viewers won’t have to wait 18 months between Season 3 and Season 4, as was the case for previous seasons. Even better, Ferguson teased bigger and bolder things awaiting fans in Season 3: “I mean, it does get oddly better and better. I find it is unusual for shows to grow and sort of advance in the stories. I find they usually just kind of fall out, but this one gets better and better.”
Apple TV+’s Nonstop Sci-Fi Offensive in 2026
If Silo Season 3 does come out in the summer of 2026, then sci-fi enthusiasts will be glued to Apple TV+ for the foreseeable future. The Godzilla spin-off Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 is currently streaming — Episode 1 premiered on February 27, and the Season 2 finale will be available on May 1, 2026. Then there’s For All Mankind, the expensive alternate-reality sci-fi series that imagines what life would be like had the Soviets won the space race in the 1960s. Season 5 is slated to stream on Apple TV+ from March 27 to May 29, 2026, dovetailing perfectly into the summer release window Silo is shooting for. Also worth considering is Star City, the anticipated For All Mankind spin-off set to premiere on May 29, 2026, and conclude on July 10, 2026.
And that doesn’t even include the adaptation of William Gibson‘s landmark sci-fi novel Neuromancer. The highly anticipated cyberpunk series began filming in January 2025 and is tentatively slated for a late 2026 release on Apple TV+. For Apple, the mission is clear: bombard viewers with as many diverse and thought-stirring science fiction TV series as possible in 2026, leaving zero room to catch your breath before plunging into the next exhilarating series. Depending on when Silo Season 3 and Neuromancer premiere, from February to potentially December, casual and hardcore sci-fi heads will be deeply embedded in Apple TV+.
