98th Academy Awards: Every Winner Revealed at the 2026 Oscars

MOVIE NEWS – The 98th Academy Awards celebrated the best films of 2025. The ceremony was a star-studded event, with a talented array of creatives vying for Hollywood’s top prize. The nominees already impressed fans, with Sinners setting a new record with an astounding 16 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor. Other high-profile films competing for Best Picture included Paul Thomas Anderson‘s One Battle After Another, Guillermo del Toro‘s Frankenstein, and Chloé Zhao‘s Hamnet.

The Academy Award nominees snubbed some big-ticket movies, like Wicked: For Good, which was shut out of the ceremony despite many expecting it to receive some attention. Delroy Lindo is notably nominated for his first Oscar after decades of stellar work, thanks to Sinners, and surprise nominations like Kate Hudson in Song Sung Blue present distinct choices for voters. Here is MovieWeb’s complete list of nominees and winners from the 98th Academy Awards.
