A New Xbox Partner Preview Broadcast Is Coming!

Xbox is preparing a new Partner Preview event this week, with several third-party games set to appear during the show. It is also a notable moment because this will be the first truly player-facing Xbox broadcast of the new era without the former leadership front and center.

Xbox has announced that it will host an Xbox Partner Preview event this week, showcasing games from its partners, including Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s upcoming project Stranger Than Heaven. The event will also feature fresh updates on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, another look at The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, and much more. The show begins on Thursday at 6:00 PM Hungarian time, and viewers will be able to watch it through YouTube or Twitch. The Xbox Wire blog post announcing the stream added that, beyond those already named titles, the event will also include brand-new announcements, world premieres, and Xbox Game Pass reveals.

This Is the First Truly Player-Focused Show of the Post-Spencer, Post-Bond Era

This is a noteworthy event for fans of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Yakuza / Like a Dragon series, who are eager to get a closer look at Stranger Than Heaven, but beyond the games themselves, it also marks a significant milestone in Xbox’s current new era. It is the first player-focused Xbox event in the post-Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond era. Technically, the first Xbox events under Asha Sharma were the GDC presentations centered on Project Helix, but those were aimed at players and developers at the same time, and that kind of event does not happen very often. This is the first in a more regular style of Xbox presentation where neither Spencer nor Bond will be present. In the past, both of them likely would have appeared, just as they had done before.

This could also be the first time we hear Sharma speak at an event of this kind. It would mark the first occasion where she takes center stage and addresses Xbox players directly, rather than communicating through her personal Twitter account or selected interviews, as she has done up to now. It will be interesting to see how Sharma performs when she first steps fully into the role of Xbox’s public face, and what the showcase has in store both in terms of familiar titles and previously unannounced surprises.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
