Silent Hill f Is Getting a Manga With a Brand-New Ending

Konami is continuing to expand the Silent Hill universe, but this time not with another game. Silent Hill f is being turned into a manga, and the adaptation will go a step further with a previously unseen ending written by Ryukishi07 himself.

Silent Hill f was one of Konami’s biggest plays in reviving the franchise through new entries, alongside the acclaimed Silent Hill 2 remake and the upcoming Silent Hill 1. Set in 1960s Japan, the game’s new story was well received and marked a shift for the series. Leading the narrative was Ryukishi07, known for horror works such as the visual novel Higurashi When They Cry. Now, drawing on that experience, the game is also being adapted into a manga.

Silent Hill f launched in 2025 to tell the harrowing story of student Hinako Fukamizu. She returns to her hometown to uncover its history in the 1960s while redefining the concept of the afterlife that the traditional city has always represented. Without getting into spoilers, the game features multiple endings, five in total, which leaves room for the story to keep expanding.

A New Ending Is Being Added

There is already a light novel following the storyline players know, but now that world will grow further with a new manga set to launch in Young Ace UP magazine. The franchise’s official account announced the news on social media to mark six months since the game’s release. “A new ending written by Ryukishi07 will be serialized, with illustrations by Gokin Ame. Stay tuned for more updates” – the account stated.

Many details remain unknown for now, including an estimated release date and whether the manga will also be published outside Japan. Fans hope this new ending will resolve certain storylines involving other characters, and it also underlines Konami’s intention to keep building an expanded universe around the franchise beyond the games themselves.

It is also worth remembering that the company still has more plans for Silent Hill. On the horizon there is not only the highly anticipated Silent Hill 1 remake, but also the already announced Silent Hill: Townfall, a first-person project that already has a trailer available.
