Until now, Nintendo has been the company that has, to put it mildly, kept its mouth shut, and we have rarely seen leaks of this scale… until now!
Famous insider Nate the Hate shared a detailed overview of Nintendo’s upcoming first-party wave. The first game to arrive is reportedly a new classic-style Star Fox title with excellent graphics and multiplayer. It is expected to launch in June. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is reportedly set for summer, most likely around July or August, alongside Splatoon Raiders, Rhythm Heaven, and a new Switch Sports game built for the Switch 2.
A remake of the 1998 game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which is still considered one of the greatest games ever made and still holds the highest Metacritic score with a 99, is also said to be in development for the Nintendo Switch 2 and planned for late 2026. FromSoftware’s highly anticipated multiplayer-focused Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods, is also reportedly set for the end of the year. Finally, the long-awaited new 3D Mario is said to be coming in 2027. That is Nate the Hate’s list of rumors, but as Reddit users discovered, an anonymous user posted the same lineup with a few additions.
According to that user, a classic Star Fox will launch in June, while the adventure game is still expected, though not in 2026. Super Metroid is also said to be coming soon, along with a new Switch Sports title, a Wario Land game, likely in 2027, and the Ocarina of Time remake later this year. The user would also love to see a 3D Mario game this year, but fears it will slip to 2027. Rumors about a remake of the 1994 SNES classic Super Metroid have already been circulating for years. It is hard to say whether this would even be the same project, considering that more than six years have passed since those earlier rumors.
As for Wario Land, the spin-off platforming series has been missing for years; the last entry, Wario Land: Shake It!, was released in 2008 for the Nintendo Wii. Recently, Nintendo has mainly used the character in the WarioWare party game series through releases such as WarioWare: Get It Together! and WarioWare: Move It!.
