Significant Price Hikes on Corsair AI Workstation PCs!

TECH NEWS – Building the most powerful configuration would result in a much higher bill.

PC hardware prices are constantly rising, and yet another major manufacturer has increased the price of its high-end workstation computers. One of Corsair’s most powerful AI Workstation computers has unexpectedly and significantly increased in price. Last year, the company launched the AI Workstation 300 desktop computer, which started at $1,600 and was equipped with Ryzen AI Max processors. The product has been significantly impacted by the shortage and high prices of DRAM and SSDs. While prices for most PC hardware had already been rising (including GPUs, pre-built PCs, mini PCs, and laptops), we have never seen a price increase as steep as that of the Corsair AI Workstation. The AI Workstation 300 desktop comes with two different processors and varies in memory and storage configurations. The base configuration, which includes a Ryzen AI Max 385 processor, 64 GB of LPDDR5X memory, and 1 TB of storage, has increased by over $100, rising from $1,600 to $1,700.

This may not seem like much, but upgrading to the next configuration increases the price from $2,000 to $2,700. This configuration includes a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, 128 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 1 TB of storage. It seems as if the additional 64 GB of RAM caused a $500–$600 price increase, assuming the 1 TB storage price doubled. However, the top-of-the-line model, which features the same processor and RAM as the previous configuration but with 4 TB of storage, shows an even greater price increase of $1,100, jumping from $2,300 to $3,400.

This price increase highlights the impact of the current DRAM and SSD shortages, which affect every segment. Whether we’re buying a GPU, a pre-built PC, or a workstation mini PC, everything has become extremely expensive. Prices continue to rise in most regions, but some manufacturers have suddenly and drastically increased their product prices.
