Silent Hill: Townfall: The Composer Has Been Revealed! [VIDEO]

Until now, it was unclear who would compose the soundtrack for Screen Burn Interactive’s game, but the answer is finally here.

Screen Burn Interactive, Annapurna Interactive, and Konami announced that Canadian musician Pilotpriest will compose the new Silent Hill soundtrack. Konami has mentioned plans to release a new Silent Hill experience every year. In 2024, it will be the Silent Hill 2 Remake. Last year, Silent Hill f fulfilled this role, as we’ve written about before. The companies also released a new video featuring the song “Home,” offering a closer look at St. Amelia, the setting of the game.

Silent Hill: Townfall is a full-length, self-contained psychological horror game set against the cold, isolated backdrop of Scotland. With the trailer’s debut, fans can now also add Silent Hill: Townfall. After its mysterious debut and teaser in 2022, Silent Hill: Townfall has stormed back into the spotlight with chilling new revelations. The next chapter in the Silent Hill series aims to evolve the psychological horror of previous entries while maintaining themes synonymous with the franchise, such as mystery, tragedy, and loss.

Players take on the role of Simon Ordell, who is called back to the island of St. Amelia to “set things right.” There, he finds an apparently deserted town shrouded in dense fog. Besides his clothes, he only has an IV bag and a medical wristband with his name on it. He heads to the town with no leads except for the voices he picked up on the CRTV along the way. Driven to understand his connection to the place and its inhabitants, Simon ventures deeper and begins to discover fragments of a past rising to the surface.

Simon must explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools in this first-person experience. These include the CRTV, a pocket television that can tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense, combat is frenetic, and narrative-driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged.

Silent Hill: Townfall is set to release sometime this year for the PlayStation 5 and PC.
