Although a modern version of the 2013 game has been confirmed, not much is known about it.
Last month, Ubisoft officially confirmed the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, titled Assassin’s Creed Black Resynced, as part of its franchise news roundup. However, after years of leaks and rumors, Ubisoft only provided a concept art image confirming the game’s existence. Fortunately, according to Insider-Gaming, the upcoming presentation will reveal much more than just concept art.
Insider-Gaming‘s sources and ResetEra‘s BlackBate claim that we can expect the full reveal of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on April 16. The game has reportedly been in development for some time, and next week’s presentation is said to reveal the release date, which is rumored to be imminent. Last month, instead of threatening to sue those who played a key role in making the game so popular, Ubisoft finally acknowledged the existence of the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake. However, we were given nothing more than a concept art image and a sarcastic remark that some online rumors have a bit more wind in their sails than others. Ubisoft added that we should keep our eyes on the horizon.
None of this answers the questions we have about the game amid the swirling rumors of the past few years. For example, will this remake omit the missions set in the present day and retain only the historical missions? Will this remake include content that was cut from the original game? Will there be entirely new missions in this version?
Hopefully, we’ll get answers to these questions and many others next week if the presentation takes place on April 16 as planned. It may be part of State of Play – there was already a mention of this in today’s news.
