Crimson Desert: The Intel Arc GPU Support Has Finally Arrived!

Additionally, Pearl Abyss’s game supports Intel’s XeSS 3.0 frame generation technology.

Thanks to the latest Intel Arc driver, which was released a few days ago, Crimson Desert now runs on Intel Arc GPUs. However, the latest updates further optimize compatibility. If you’ve been following developments surrounding the game, you’re likely aware that Intel Arc GPUs were not previously supported. We wrote about this issue. After an outpouring of complaints, Intel and Pearl Abyss started working together to make the game playable on Arc GPUs.

Initially, it was surprising that Pearl Abyss recommended users request refunds instead of advising them to wait for official support, making it seem as if they hadn’t planned to support Intel Arc GPUs at all. However, a few days after the game’s release, the developer announced that they would soon release an official update to ensure that Intel Arc graphics chips (including both discrete and integrated solutions) could run the game.

Many users have reported that the game is finally playable on Intel Arc GPUs, though not as smoothly as expected. There were minor glitches and bugs, but the new 1.03.00 patch is expected to fix many of them. According to the patch notes, numerous bugs have been fixed and optimizations have been implemented in the gameplay, user interface, graphics, and performance.

In the “Graphics and Settings” section, Crimson Desert confirmed that Intel Arc GPUs are supported and that the gaming experience will improve over time thanks to ongoing optimizations through updates. Additionally, support for Intel XeSS 3.0 and XeSS Frame Generation has been added, enabling users to leverage Intel’s proprietary upscaling technology. AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2 has also been added to the game. These are the most important improvements in the latest update.

This way, those who didn’t choose Nvidia or AMD cards aren’t at a disadvantage.
