It’s rare to hear about games being developed in Armenia, but Aya Games is based there, and they’ve come up with a pretty interesting concept… and console gamers won’t be left out!
In Ayasa: Shadow of Silence, players navigate the Inverted World – a once harmonious realm where good and evil coexisted under the watchful presence of Tash, the Absolute. But that balance has been shattered, and darkness now threatens to engulf the six lands of Faith, Hope, Love, Greed, Indifference, and Betrayal. Armed with remnants of Tash’s light, Ayasa must journey through these fractured lands, using her powers to restore balance and ward off the impending darkness.
Use Ayasa’s unique powers – time manipulation, invisibility, and energy control – to solve puzzles, outwit enemies, and traverse perilous landscapes. Explore six themed realms. Each realm represents a facet of humanity such as Faith or Greed, each with its own dangers, puzzles, and atmosphere. With atmospheric puzzles and survival, navigate a world of tense horror and strategic puzzles that will test your resolve and wits at every turn.
“Ayasa: Shadow of Silence is more than a game; it’s an adventure into the unknown, a test of courage, and a struggle to bring light back to a world on the brink. We wanted to create an experience that feels both mysterious and deeply immersive, where every choice counts,” wrote Aya Games’ Edgar Janoyan in a press release.
So Ayasa: Shadow of Silence combines horror with quest-based exploration in the platforming genre. The game won’t just be coming to PC (no big surprise for a smaller studio), as Aya Games will also be bringing the game to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch sometime next year (launch window is 2025).
