The new footage offers fans their first detailed look at this year’s installment of the iconic psychological horror series. Developed by Screen Burn and co-published by Annapurna Interactive and Konami, Silent Hill: Townfall, is a full-length, self-contained psychological horror game set against the cold, isolated backdrop of Scotland. With the trailer’s debut, fans can now also add Silent Hill: Townfall. After its mysterious debut and teaser in 2022, Silent Hill: Townfall has stormed back into the spotlight with chilling new revelations. The next chapter in the Silent Hill series aims to evolve the psychological horror of previous entries while keeping themes synonymous with the franchise, such as mystery, tragedy, and loss.

Players take on the role of Simon Ordell, who is called back to the island of St. Amelia to “put things right.” There, he encounters a seemingly abandoned town lying quiet beneath a heavy fog. Besides his clothes, all he has on him is an IV bag and a medical wristband with his name on it. He heads to the town with no leads except for the voices he picked up on the CRTV along the way. Driven to understand his connection to the place and its inhabitants, Simon ventures deeper and begins to discover fragments of a past rising to the surface.

Experienced entirely in the first person, Simon must explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools. These include the CRTV, a pocket television that can tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense, combat is frenetic, and narrative-driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged.

Konami was serious about releasing a new Silent Hill game every year. In 2024, they released Silent Hill 2 Remake by Bloober Team, and in 2025, they released Silent Hill F by NeoBards Entertainment. In 2026, it will be Silent Hill: Townfall, which has been announced for release sometime this year for the PlayStation 5 and PC.
