From Software is working hard on a PlayStation 4 exclusive dark action role-playing game, which is similar to its former Dark Souls games. This new PS4 title is codenamed “Project Beast” and it reminiscent to what we should expect from the people who made the scary and unbelievably tough Dark Souls.

This rather brief video uncovers the look and ambiance of the game, which seems like a nice action RPG, just as we expected. The video was “leaked”, but this may be a sly PR campaign from the developer and publisher — we wouldn’t be surprised if that were truth.

Project Beast will get a lot of competition from other action RPG titles in the works for the PlayStation 4, games such as Capcom’s Deep Down (which we called the best looking game we’ve ever seen —check out a new trailer here), and The Witcher 3. Both of those games will be released in 2015.

We expect From Software to reveal the game at E3 next month, and it likely won’t be called “Project Beast”, and it likely won’t be another Dark Souls games, as Project Beast is a PS4 exclusive.
