While one of the most anticipated MMO FPS, Destiny will be available on both consoles, it’s pretty clear that Bungie prefer the PS4. First it was revealed on E3, that there will be a special Destiny Bundle and Sony also announced exclusive features for the PS4. This brand new Destiny PlayStation 4 bundle will feature a white PlayStation 4 console and controller, a copy of the game, and 30 days of PS Plus. The Destiny bundle will be available this Fall.
We also heard some rumors about that those exclusive Destiny PlayStation 4 contents will apparently be only a timed exclusive. The initial reports suggested that Destiny’s exclusive PlayStation 4 DLC will “only” be exclusive for one year, and the developer Bungie has now confirmed the deal.
Bungie informed Eurogamer that the PlayStation 4 (and PS3) exclusive content will remain exclusive to the platforms until Fall 2015, giving the PlayStation platforms a full year of exclusivity.
The exclusive content for PlayStation 4 owners will be available on day-one. The day-one content will have a new co-op mission, a new multiplayer map, new weapons, and more. Xbox One owners will have to wait a full year for the new stuff.
In addition Sony Japan also announced that Destiny will be a platform exclusive game in their country, so Japanese Xbox One users won’t have access to Destiny at all.
