Sony has made several game announcements at Gamescom, which was finished yesterday in Germany. Still, it must be considered that the more games you announce, the less of an impact they each have. Which is why Sony decided to save some of the announcements and game reveals for the next major game convention: Tokyo Game Show 2014 in September.
Sony Worldwide Studios head honcho Shuhei Yoshida said that it wasn’t “possible to fit everything into the frame of the [GamesCom] conference”, and added that Sony will instead announce some of the new games at TGS.
Yoshida said that they consider TGS “very important”, especially when it comes to games tailored for the Japanese market. Which doesn’t come as a surprise, since TGS takes place right in the heart of Tokyo.
