Mortal Kombat X is the latest part in the ultra-violent and long running fighting game series. And just like it’s the case for most fighting games, the hardcore fans of the game prefers their own unique controllers that give them a slight edge over their opponents.

PDP a custom controller and accessory maker company have announced a Mortal Kombat X PlayStation 4 controller which is made for just for Mortal Kombat X and nothing else. As you can see here, it’s a bit weird-looking controller.

The controller features one analog stick on the left and six big buttons on the right. According to PDP, this “brings the player closer to the classic arcade feel”. And by arcade, we hope they mean that the controller gives the player an advantage and that it’s not just for looks. As far as we can tell, a DualShock 4 could perform just as well in Mortal Kombat X, not to mention it looks a lot more comfortable.

The Mortal Kombat X PS4 controller was shown at the recent GameStop Expo, and PDP stressed that it wasn’t the final design and that they are still working on it.
The game will be released on the PlayStation 4 and other platforms next year.
