Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain is still a while away from launch date— the game won’t hit the stores until 2015 — but the legendary game director God, Hideo Kojima and Konami have released 20 minutes of new MGS5 gameplay.
The gameplay was recorded in the Tokyo Game Show, where Kojima-san is showing off Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain to the Japanese visitors.
This time, we get to see Solid Snake in the jungle, and once again, he’s riding his trusty horse. He climbs up the top off rocks, and attacked by enemies, and a helicopter. As you might expect, the game looks amazing, even though it seems that the video was recorded at standard resolution and upscaled (which always hurts the quality). The Foxengine is truly great. The video also showcases some of the weather effects in the game.
In the second video, you can see Snake’s best friend. He’s name is DD. It’s a very interesting name for a wolf. But, this is a short form of Diamond Dog. I think our new companion will be a badass character, because DD wears eye patch. In the game, maybe we will control him in an epic mission.
