A new video from PlayStation Access displays the size of Dying Light’s world.
As revealed in the video, it takes them about nine minutes to cut a diagonal line across the map, reveal dilapidated buildings and environments while also exploring some of the combat options, such as an ice grenade and the always popular alternative: just running away.
Although the video is undeniably a very linear view of the map, with the players trying to get from the most northwestern point to the most southeastern point as quickly as possible, it does give the sense of scale and verticality that we can expect from the final product.
Dying Light will be still officially available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC starting January 27, but some unconfirmed rumors coming from France seems to indicate, that the game will be delayed until Mars 27.
There’s no official statement yet, but it seems that the delay is due to certain scenes that need to be changed because similarities to the “January attacks.” (Like the one against Charly Hebdo.) Due to the list of attacks that happened around the world this month, that’s not a clear indicator of what’s going on, but Amazon France has changed the release date of the game to March 31 and gaming store fnac has changed it to February 27.
HardcoreGamer also wrote that “Dying Light has been confirmed as delayed in France by Micromania.” However we went to the Dying Light page of Micromania and the release date is still January 29 here.
Stay tuned, until we find out what’s going on!
