EA has exposed the first details about the upcoming Battlefield Hardline beta, and they have confirmed that every PlayStation 4 players will be able to participate in the beta. The beta will be open to all players on all platforms as well, which includes the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

Still, since this is a multiplayer beta, and multiplayer for the PS4 you need a PS Plus subscription, only PS Plusz members will have access to the beta.

The Battlefield Hardline beta will have two maps: Downtown (modeled after Downtown Los Angeles), which was part of the first, closed beta last year, and Dust Bowl, a more open map set in a desert town.
The beta will support new game modes tailored to Hardline, and will also bring back the classic 64-player Conquest mode.

Battlefield Hardline is a different from the regular Battlefield series, which is typically focusing on large scale combat. Battlefield Hardline is focuses instead more on tight infantry combat and a cops vs robbers game style.

The game was assumed to be released last November, but since the Battlefield 4 launch was such disaster back in 2013, EA pushed Hardline’s launch to March 17, 2015, so they can have enough time to properly test the game.

Hopefully the new beta will ensure that we get a stable game launch this time around.
